This gasket has ben made in special Flexoid material , a plastised gelatine impregnated cellulose material, which will seal surfaces with imperfections, and also very good for resistance to oils and fuels and alkalies, perfect for the sump where dirt contaminated oil accumalates, and the the gasket surfaces usually suffer from damage from when the engine is knocking around on the work bench whilst being worked on.
